Andersens flooring refurbishes for franchise growth

Franchised flooring retailer Andersens has refurbished its sprawling office and warehouse complex at Gatton, Queensland, to better supply its network of 49 franchised and four company-owned stores from the area and embrace franchise expansion.

There will be further franchise opportunities across regional and metro Queensland, according to founder Jack Andersen.

ñOur large, centralised warehousing facility that weÍve just refurbished allows us to have large volumes of stock readily available at all times so our customers can be assured that in most instances we can supply, deliver and install their new floorings with minimal turnaround time.î

Andersen said the brand’s Showroom on Wheels successfully pioneered the home shopping experience in floor coverings.

ñIt is sometimes hard to imagine how a floor covering will look in a commercial showroom,î he said. ñThe lighting is different and you canÍt carry your furniture in with you to see what goes best with it. So we decided some time ago to make the selection process easier by bringing an Andersens store to our customersÍ homes and businesses.

ñItÍs like having a store in your home but better as you can check how the colours match your walls, furnishings and other decor. You can also see the flooring in the exact lighting conditions where it will be laid. WeÍve also started a new ïShop At WorkÍ service that provides the same service to businesses and itÍs proving equally popular.

ñThis high standard of service and meeting the market with new and innovative ways to meet the needs of consumers in our convenience-driven society helps keep us and our franchisees on top of our game at our stores throughout Queensland and northern New South Wales,ñ Andersen added.
