Cold Rock warms up with winter desserts

Ice cream franchise, Cold Rock, is battling the winter chill and trialling new hot desserts across its stores in Victoria and South Australia.

Three new products – Nana’s Rocking Apple Pie, Chocolate Rocker cake drizzled with hot chocolate fudge and Sticky Date Pudding with hot caramel fudge, all served with two scoops of ice cream – are being rolled out across the states’ 27 stores.

Cold Rock business support manager, Maree Rogers, said This is a trial but potentially it could be rolled out for longer depending on the response from customers.

These will be high quality products which complement our existing menu and offer customers who aren’t keen on an ice ream during the cooler months a warm alternative.

The desserts will sell for $8.50 each and could be introduced to Cold Rock menus nationally, depending on their popularity.

Cold weather can mean slow ice cream sales, but our goal is to maintain customer interest in our products through continued product innovation, Rogers said.
