A new service to allow customers to SMS a food order and pick it up when they arrive has been launched at Subway Rouse Hill, Sydney.

Q-Jumper is a Point of Sale solution designed by mHITs specifically for food and beverage outlets. The service operates on any mobile phone with the capacity to send and receive SMS and all Australian mobile networks, including pre-paid and account plans.

To order using Q-Jumper, mHITs members SMS a code off the menu and the cost of the purchase is instantly deducted from their mHITs account. The wireless Q-Jumper Point Of Sale terminal prints off the full order details in store on a paper receipt.

mHITs CEO Harold Dimpel said “Not only is Q-Jumper convenient for customers, it benefits businesses by reducing ïwalk-offsÍ, increasing customer loyalty in addition to reducing costs by automating and combining the order and payment process.”

Unlike credit card and direct debit systems that allow auto-debiting from an account without authorisation, an mHITs transaction can only be initiated by the member using their own mobile phone to make a payment.

Q-Jumper is aimed at venues which have standard food and drink options such as take-away food and beverage franchises including coffee shops and drive through venues.
