Independent retailers’ training program

Independent hardware and garden retailers have been benefiting from the training program available through the Danks Group.

The Danks Management Development Program offers a number of customised training programs, catering both jointly and separately for independent store owners under the Home Timber and Hardware, Thrifty-Link Hardware and Plants Plus Garden Centre retail banners, and the Danks head office employees who support them.

“Independent hardware retailers wouldnÕt usually have access to an opportunity to train with peers in the industry. However, as a member of the Danks Group, this is a unique initiative they can utilise,” explained David Patton, Danks human resources manager.

“Because we are a network of retailers, our management training program is based on the theory of coninuous skills sharing. We provide knowledge that customers and employees pass on to their peers – whether it’s their employees or other retailers – to ensure even more people gain from the program.”
