Aussie Nathan Cuneen took his haircare business model to the US after launching the Blow Dry Bar in the domestic market in 2008. Now expansion is planned across the Atlanta area for the US brand, Cherry Blow Dry Bar.

Heading up the regional development are two franchise veterans Jerry Cohn and David Tannen who will be overseeing the development for more than 30 locations over the next two years.

Cohn and Tannen have substantial experience in developing service franchise brands.

“Having been involved in service franchising for many years, Cherry Blow Dry Bar’s upscale franchise model, in addition to its recruiting, training, and on-going support systems, made us want to be a part of this exciting new trend in the hair care industry,” said Tannen.

“We saw Cherry Blow Dry Bar as an outstanding opportunity for individual franchise owners and multi-unit operators to get in on the ground floor of this rapidly expanding business,” added Cohn.

The first US outlet opened early November in Tallahassee, Florida. Two further sites are in the pipeline: Orlando and San Francisco.
