Aussie KFC stores add to NZ group’s revenue

KFC stores in NSW have brought $92.5 million into the coffers of parent group Restaurant Brands since the New Zealand based business bought the 42 outlets in April 2016.

Total sales of $25.8 million were made during the fourth quarter, which is an increase of 8 per cent on a same store basis over the equivalent period last year.

Store numbers remained steady at 42 during the quarter.

Restaurant Brands’ total sales for the 12 months ended 27 February were NZ$497.2 million, up 28.3 per cent on the prior year.

In its New Zealand base, Restaurant Brands operates Pizza Hut, KFC, Starbucks Coffee and Carl’s Jr.
