Baskin-Robbins, the global chain of ice cream outlets, is eyeing up Western Australia for expansion with 10 more outlets planned. It has just opened its 78th Australian store at Canning Vale.
General manager of Baskin-Robbins Australia, Ian Martin, said “This is an exciting time for Baskin-Robbins in Australia. We see a real potential in this market, and weÍre aiming to open as many as 10 stores in the Golden State this year.
“The climate and lifestyle in Western Australia offer the perfect opportunity for a Baskin-Robbins business to thrive.”
The Canning Vale, Perth, store officially opened with a party on 14 May and is the 11th store in WA. It has been operating for one month, and is proving to be very successful with the local community.
Canning Vale franchisee and former teacher, Gail Bland, said “IÍm really pleased with how the business is going so far. ItÍs a new adventure for us and itÍs taken a year to come this far along on the journey — finding the right location for the store and preparing to open.
“We wanted to stay local and support Canning Vale. We have always been active members of our community and felt that this was an ideal way in which we could contribute and really give back.”
