ALH Group and Shine Hospitality have teamed up to bring Burger Edge to Melbourne’s Albion Charles hotel, a move that will see the franchise enter a completely new space.
Burger Edge is the first franchised food brand to be introduced to ALH hotels, which operates over 300 properties across Australia.
While the Australian-owned and operated business traditionally operates within food courts and as standalone stores, the impending opening is expected to be the first of many.
“We have identified a number of unique sites across our business nationally, where we believe a specific concept could work in conjunction with our existing business and also contribute to the surrounding area,” said ALH CEO, Bruce Mathieson Jnr.
Chris Shine of Shine Hospitality added: “It has been an exciting project to get off the ground, [and] we believe Burger Edge is a good fit for ALH.”
Issam Soubjaki, franchisor of the Australian-owned and operated Burger Edge brand is pleased to be involved with the businesses.
“We are excited to be involved with the ALH Group and Shine Hospitality to mobilise this innovative project. We love how the Northcote site has developed and think it will appeal to new and existing customers, local families and burger lovers in general.
“We look forward to potentially opening more sites with the ALH Group,” he added.
The new outlet is set to open late October.
