Carpet franchise, Carpet Court, has launched an e-commerce facility on its website, allowing customers to shop from its range of rugs online.

Following the launch of its new-look website in September, Carpet Court has now made its debut rug range, the ArtiZEN Rug Collection, available for purchase online at carpetcourt.com.au.

Carpet Court’s national marketing manager, Natasha Gallardo, said the website’s new e-commerce features represent the next phase of customer service for the brand and will help to create a more streamlined retail experience to complement the network’s in-store retail offering.

“With the revamped website we wanted to provide users with a ‘one stop shop’ for flooring; a tool they could use to find inspiration, product information and advice online, and then easily locate their nearest store to complete the purchase,” she said.

Launched in stores in September, the ArtiZEN Rug Collection consists of handcrafted shag rugs in a selection of more than 50 colours, including two new colours stories: Brights and Moonlight.

“We’re excited to be able to use the online rug store to bring products from the Carpet Court range closer to all Australians — including those in rural areas who can’t easily travel to one of our stores,” Gallardo added.

Carpet Court’s relaunched site forms part of the franchise’s efforts to not only drive online sales, but also increase traffic in-store.

In a recent interview with Franchising, chief executive Andrew Brand said “I think a lot of people who are time poor are starting their purchasing journey at the online site, and there they get the initial information that they need to progress.

“I think our work on the website is making it much more friendly in terms of consumer engagement, and I think it’ll actually allow us to progress the consumer down the chain and into our store.”
