Curves hits 10,000 milestone

International fitness franchise Curves has reached the landmark of 10,000 gyms, operating across 44 different countries. To celebrate, 10 Curves facilities have been honoured with a commemorative plaque, one of which is the Hornsby Curves in Sydney.

Curves ceo and founder, Gary Heavin, said, ñThis milestone represents an important advancement in womenÍs wellness on a worldwide scale. With 10,000 clubs in 44 countries _ and growing _ weÍre impacting the health and longevity of more than four million women, who in turn are having a positive influence on their families.î

Since the company began franchising in 1995, Curves has grown to become the worldÍs largest fitness franchise and the tenth largest franchise company of any kind in the world. Curves accounts for 27 per cent of health clubs in USA and Canada and is a household name in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Spain, Ireland.
