Graffiti removal and prevention is at the heart of the latest business to turn to franchising, a 37 year old family firm that is looking for its first franchisee.
The Melbourne-based second-generation business has spread interstate with branches and sub-contractors catering for council, commercial and residential customers. Now it wants to achieve more with franchise partners.
Mark Mackenzie is CEO of the Graffitieaters business.
“We’re looking for franchisees to help us grow. Staff and team members can only get you so far. Franchisees need to be fit and healthy, this is a physical job. We can train them up for the technical viewpoint, but we want a good overall attitude, someone who can sell and market themselves and their services.”
Franchisees will sign up to a non-exclusive territory and have the chance to grow the business through a three-tier model.
The first stage is a mobile, single van business providing primary graffiti removal services. Successful franchisees have the option to then expand into the advanced services with a second or third vehicle. The top level is multi-territory.
Mackenzie said the mobile business is ideal for a couple, with one of the partners focused on the labour, the other managing bookwork and appointment.
To invest in the business will cost $180,000 +GST and that includes a custom-built, branded vehicle.
