Former Vodadone employee Roger Chadid was in a need of a change, and so he opted for an Amber franchise situated in Liverpool on the outskirts of Sydney.
“I worked for Vodafone as a transmission solution architect,” Roger says.
He grew tired of working in the corporate world, and so began to explore other options.
“I have always wanted to own my own business and decided to invest in the franchise so I could learn from their [Amber’s] business model.”
So why Amber? “It is a well trusted brand. I particularly wanted my customers to be middle to high-end consumers and Amber has allowed me to achieve this,” he says.
Roger adds he brought “negotiation skills, passion and enthusiasm” to the business, and believes they have contributed to his success.
He already had a bit of a background in tiling, so the real challenge Roger faced was familiarsing himself with Amber’s franchise model all the while ensuring the success of his store.
“I have some previous experience working in the tile industry, so the primary challenges for me have been understanding the processes, structure and systems of a franchise business while making sure my efforts turned into maximum profit.”
Roger is all praise from Amber, and says it provides ongoing training and support for franchisees. “Amber has been a great franchisor – the team has extensive knowledge of the industry, products and business.
“Amber also provides great training so I never felt out of my depth,” he adds.
