Australian franchisor Howards Storage World has its sights set on developing franchise opportunities in New Zealand, and will meet with prospective partners for the master franchise in next month. The master franchisee will be responsible for rolling out more stores across New Zealand to add to the existing two outlets in Tauranga and Albany.

Howards Storage World has been operating in New Zealand since 2006, most recently as an adjunct to the Australian operation.

“Over the past couple of years we have invested in consolidating and building our New Zealand business and we believe the timing is right to secure a master franchisee who can take the domestic business to the next level and mirror the success we have achieved worldwide,” said CEO Dirk Spence. “The next phase of growth for Howards Storage World will include the opening of a warehouse in New Zealand to import stock and service the stores, and expanding the number of stores around the country.”

Spence will be visiting Auckland on to conduct information sessions on the franchise opportunity and to meet with key industry and business representatives.
