In the last 18 months of franchising, three Australian Baker’s Club outlets have been franchised. It costs from $300,000 to purchase a franchise.
Founder Christian Coenen brings 150 years of European family baking tradition to Australia. Because we can bake all day long in small quantities of assorted products, not just white bread but rye, sourdough and gluten free, we minimise waste as we bake to meet demand, so there is hardly any unsold product left at the end of the day.
Since opening the first store in 2006 Coenen and his Australian business partner have opened five more stores, each offering both take-away and eat-in opportunities.
Franchisee James Lang from Robina says: Before I started this business I had no intention of becoming a baker. I did not think I could learn the intricacies of baking things like European breads, pies, pastries and sausage rolls, let alone the other cornerstone areas of a business like customer relations. The Baker’s Club process and training soon
fixed this.
It was the products that attracted me to the business. It was my hope and goal that I could help Baker’s Club become a brand synonymous with health and now I can proudly say that Baker’s Club has become associated with Red Cross Australia with the Baker’s Club low GI German wholegrain bread.
Baker’s Club represents a history in European baking of over 150 years. As a franchisee this knowledge becomes available to you.
