While Mexican fast casual food franchise Mad Mex is built on the premise that Australians love Mexican food, it’s now official, with the Darlinghurst store taking out one of the 2012 I LOVE FOOD Awards.
The outlet was awarded the best in the Latin American/Mexican category in the awards, which saw over 134,000 people vote across 27 categories.
“The Mad Mex team are excited and proud to hear we have won the award for best Latin American/Mexican food across Australia. This people’s choice award means so much to us as a business as it affirms that our customers are just as passionate about eating our fresh, healthy cuisine as we are about serving it,” Clovis Young, CEO of Mad Mex.
Other franchises to take out an I LOVE FOOD award include Salsa’s Fresh Mex Grill, Gelatissimo and Lord of the Fries.
Mad Mex’s latest win is one more exciting event for the franchise, which earlier this year sold its one millionth burrito, opened three new stores and announced that it’s looking to double its numbers by the end of the year.
