New hand sanitising franchise hits our shores

Vending franchise, Austvending, is branching into a new area of business with the launch of StayClean Hands, a franchise system that installs and maintains hand sanitising units in businesses across Australia.

Luis Nevares, general manager of Austvending, says the aim of the new business is to move the process of hand sanitisation out of the bathroom and make it more accessible for both employees and staff.

“We’re offering it as a business to business option and we’ve found that industries like hairdressing, hospitality, fruit and vege distributors and supermarkets are taking our proposal on board,” he said.

StayClean Hands franchisees have an exclusive territory, which is based on business numbers rather than geographical areas.

Turn-key costs range from $25,000 to $200,000 depending on the number of machines the franchisee would like to manage and the degree of support they will receive from head office.

With one franchisee already onboard in Cairns, the company is looking to expand nationwide and has had strong interest from Sydney in particular.

StayClean Hands is an attractive option for potential franchisees, Nevares said, because it offers a fixed income.

“Instead of offering a business where the income is reliant on a vending machine’s performance, we are guaranteeing an income to our franchisees because the service contract has a fixed amount per month, so once they have all the units contracted they know that they will be making x amount of dollars,” he said.
