Plans for Sydney expansion: Pizza Inn

Well established business Pizza Inn is on the lookout for opportunities across Sydney as it implements stage two of its expansion strategy and aims to double its portfolio this year.

The eight-strong chain is focused on the Central Coast of New South Wales and southern Sydney, and has been serving customers for more than 35 years with Rudy Arbolino at the helm. Now it is looking for franchise sites to the north, north west and west of Sydney.

Three years ago the group took its first steps to grow the brand and engaged a franchise manager. The business was rebranded – updating logo, uniforms and store d_cor – and the operations manual revised.

A small range of gourmet pizzas was introduced to broaden the focus from the traditional hand thrown pizzas at the heart of the business. The stores also serve pasta dishes, chicken wings, ribs, nachos and desserts.

“We believe the core of our success is the high quality traditional pizza, based on the recipe my grandmother used in Naples over 50 years ago” said Rudy Arbolino, group franchisor, “and our focus on consistency, by training all our store owners and staff in the same way all down the line, has meant quality triumphs over quantity.”

Franchisees have access to ongoing training through a DVD that covers the key aspects of operating a Pizza Inn store. Quarterly franchise meetings also provide support, communication and education.

Pizza Inn trading hours are evenings, seven days a week, with eat in (depending on the size of the store), takeaway or delivery options.
