Stretch to succeed

YogaBugs Australia is the worldÍs largest childrenÍs yoga system. There are about 70,000 children participating in YogaBugs worldwide and the Australian franchise network is looking for highly motivated people to build the brand in the New South Wales market.

Just a year old, the network comprises nine franchises along the eastern seaboard. In addition the original pilot, running in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, is going from strength to strength with almost 75 percent re-signs from the schools and pre-school in the area, reports Rob Connelly, managing director of YogaBugs Australia.

He believes 2011 will be a watershed for YogaBugs. “With continued community and government focus on childrenÍs health issues including obesity, under-active imagination and combating the sedentary lifestyle, YogaBugs offers the perfect balance between exercise, learning and fun. YogaBugs intends to have a franchise network of 20 to 25 by the end of 2011.”

Coinciding with the Sydney Franchise Expo, YogaBugs will be launching a new program, YogaBugs Impact and Change. Developed within the framework of the both Federal and State Governments, early learning and childhood development criteria, Impact & Change provides strategies for both the child and teacher/parent for dealing with stress, enhancing healthy habits, exercise and providing breathing and relaxation techniques.
